“Et mes genoux… Tu les aimes mes genoux?” – Limited edition prints

This is a collage made with black and colorful prints form posters on an 80’s print by fashion photographer Michael Doster.

The original’s measures are 12 x 18 in. The title refers to the famous “Nouvelle Vaguefrench film by Jean-Luc Godard “Le Mépris”. It is taken from the dialogue of the first scene, when Brigitte Bardot asks to Michel Piccoli:

“- And my knees… You like them my knees..?”

Primary colors (red, blue and yellow) punctuate all the shots of the film. I think the director wanted it to look like a Mondrian’s composition. The torn posters refer to the plans where we see an old films posters slideshow from the walls of the italian studio La Cinecitta, where the picture is filmed.
