Inspired by the amazing 2006 oil painting “Rouge et verte composition” by George Condo, currently residing at the Opera Gallery
Personally speaking, I believe it’s amazing to be alive when an artist like Condo is actively painting. His work, influenced by the likes of Pablo Picasso, Diego Velázquez, Henri Matisse and Cy Twombly oozes it’s own language and identity while displaying a vast range of art-historical sources. His surrealistic style “psychological cubism” driven from our own imperfections will be remembered for lifetimes to come. Thank you George for doing what you do.
